Dino Musuem

At school, Hayden earns smiley faces each day if he is good in class. We made a deal that if he got 20 of them, we would take him to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Well he got them and the day that we went my parents were off and even my grandparents wanted to come down. It was the first time that Grandpa and Grandma Nelson had been there so Hayden was our tour guide. He was so excited that after 10 minutes of being there, I ask grandpa where grandma was. He said that they (Her and Hayden) were in front of us. Hayden and taken grandma Nelson thru half of it and we were still near the beginning. I made him come back and slow down. Grandpa said that it was the best dinosaur musuem that he has been to. I think that they really enjoyed themselves. Enjoy!!! We did!!!!

Hayden made a squished penny for Great Grandpa Nelson of a T-rex fossil. He had to get a matching one for himself. After the Dinosaur musuem we all went to Cabellas to buy their wonderful pretzels. It was a great day!!

Halloween

Yesterday was Halloween and the kids sure did how a lot of fun. Hayden dressed up like Captain Jack Sparrow, and there were a lot of people that commented that he made a good one at that. Kaeli was our little sweet witch. She only lasted about 30-45 mins out there trick or treating. Then Rog came home with the kids and then Hayden and I went out. He had to go to Grandpa and Grandma LeBarons, Tim and Lucinda's and then Tom Day's house. We then had Rog and Kaeli come and pick us up at Lucinda's house. We took Alyssa and MaKayla to Mrs. Johnson's (Hayden's pre-school teacher) house then we went to Grandpa Reese and Grandma Kay's house to trick or treat, and have hot cocoa and doughnuts. Hayden sure did get a lot of candy for a little scrud-dud.

Big Little Man 9/27/07

Here he is.. Hayden the night before the big day when he turns 5. His dad said that he wanted to go hunting and asked if the big boy who was just hours of turning 5 wanted to go on his first hunt. Of course Hayden said yes. He said to Roger that he needed to get ready for this hunt so he and I went into his room and found all the camo gear that we could. He was so cute!!

When they were driving back down from the mountain, Hayden said that he had a great time. He said that he was now dad's huntin buddy, and that he had to go hunting everytime now. The next day, Rog had to work and left before Hayden got up.. He asked me: "mom where's dad? Did he go hunting without me???"

Jackson Hole 2007

Hey all, we took a family trip up to good ole' Jackson Hole this month. My dad's friend has a time share at a condo that he wasn't able to use for the whole time so he let us have it for 4 days, and only cost my dad $25. Me and the kids rode up with my folks on Monday and then Rog came up on Tuesday night. Our drive wasn't that great.. Kaeli hates being in her car seat so needless to say we had to make frequent stops. Rogers' on the other hand wasn't that great either. He got pulled over for going 50 in a 35 zone but drove away with only a warning. However...15 mins. later he got pulled over again. He left his brights on and a cop was coming the other way. He didn't pull him over right a way, he wanted to see how he was driving. Then when he did pull him over the officer asked him if he had been drinking and Rog's response was.."Well yes I have.. Mountain Dew that is." So the officer gave him a warning and said remember to dim your brights. It was so cold up there and rainy that on Wed. we decided to go up to Yellowstone. We got to the gate, my dad payed the entrance fee.. then the Forest Ranger guy told us (after we paid) that the gate to Yellowstone was CLOSED! Like why couldn't he have told us that before we paid??? But we got a refund. It was hunting season up there and we pulled in to the Elk Reserve information center and in the back of a flat bed truck was the head of a small moose. Freshly chopped off. All in all it was a pretty ok trip. I will be posting a slide show of the trip later.

Blogger 101

WOW!!!!!! Can you believe that I am a blogger now. I still have no clue what I am doing but it is coming. It is kinda funny that my 1st blog entry is one the the more difficult putting a slide show on. It took me a few weeks to figure that out. Hayden Soccer

Hey everyone, here is Hayden and he is loving playing soccer. He is doing really great and has scored a total of 5 goals. He plays with his two best friends: Michael and Cameron. His coach is Camerons mom Emily. I asked him if he likes soccer or t-ball better and he said that soccer is his fav. He is #3 and no he is not the smallest on his team!! (For once in his life)!!

Captain Hayden Jack Sparrow's 5 Birthday

Who would have thought that a Pirate Party would be a blast??? I did of course, and I made sure that every little thing was perfect. When Hayden said that he wanted a pirate party I started to panic. Just in March he told me that he wanted a monster truck party then in July he suddenly had a change of mind. I wonder where he got the idea...(could it be the fact that my parent showed him the pirates of the carribean movie #2 to him?) Probably! I guess that he wanted to watch it so he asked grandma Debra to put it in. She asked him if he had seen it before he said yes he had. So they watched it. Half way through the movie she asked him where he had seen it and he said at Wal-Mart. NICE!!! He had only seen a few clips on their screens.

Anyways it was a way fun party. Everything went ok other than the 1st cake. Kay and I were working on it, it was going to be this awesome 3D cake. Well I had to run and pick Hayden up from a friends house and when I got back it had fallen completely apart. We both wanted to cry. But we didn't I just made another cake. If you are wondering why there is this tall, scary pirate at Hayden's party... it is because I persuaded my father to dress up. I still got it!!! You should have seen the kids faces when he came out of the bathroom(he was hiding) singing Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates life for me (he even made up words to boot!) They all looked like they were ready to run off of the plank. It took a few of the kids most of the party to warm up to him, but even by the end of the party they all were having fun with him. It was a good party.. Hayden's 2nd cousin Rilee wasn't able to come but we are going to do a little party for her on the 20th of Oct. Look for pics later.

Kaeli's 1st Birthday!!

Wow a whole year has come and gone and my little baby is now 1, starting to talk, WALKING EVERYWHERE, and getting into everything. She has such a sweet, loving and very unique personality. One minute she is all lovey and then the next she is growling at Hayden and chasing after him. Her favorite thing to do is LAUGH! She loves laughing and will do it just to be funny. She is really lucky though... she has a brother that loves her to death. Hayden is a very good brother. For her birthday we invited our family and our two closest friend The Brimhalls and the Pavicic's. Her theme was butterflies and as you can see from the pics, I went overboard AGAIN!! What can I say, I love planning parties. If anyone is interested I will plan yours for a small fee.
